Field and Stream Taxidermy is committed to providing exceptional service while ensuring compliance with South African regulations. Below are the requirements and guidelines for handling your trophies.
It is the responsibility of the outfitter and/or client to ensure all trophies are legally hunted and that all necessary permits are valid and available. Each client must have their own set of hunting documents. Field and Stream Taxidermy is not responsible for trophies confiscated, delayed or held in storage due to incorrect or fraudulent documentation.
All trophies must be clearly and correctly tagged by your hunting outfitter. We are not liable for trophies that are incorrectly labelled.
While we take great care of all trophies, we cannot accept responsibility for hair slip, bacterial damage or other issues caused by poor field preparation.
We contact you shortly after receiving your trophies. Please respond promptly to avoid delaying the process. Only written instruction will be followed — no liability is taken for verbal instruction, and trophies will not be mounted until written instruction is received.
All trophies are processed at the client’s own risk. Field and Stream Taxidermy is not liable for damages due to fire, theft, negligence by staff, third parties, political unrest or acts of nature.
All tanning and leathering of skins is sub-contracted to a professional tannery. We accept no claims arising from damage to skins.
Our responsibility extends from receiving your trophies until the shipment departs our premises. We strongly recommend insuring your shipment.
Once ready, trophies are stored for up to 10 weeks after notification. After this period, storage fees apply.
Shipping is not included. Packing, transport and documentation fees are added to your invoice. We reserve the right to adjust totals if further costs are incurred; prices are subject to change without notice.
SWIFT/EFT bank transfer and credit card accepted. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to commence processing. Payment confirms satisfaction with the order layout; it is the client’s responsibility to ensure order accuracy. The balance must be paid in full prior to packaging. If a 50% deposit is not received within 12 months, trophies will be disposed of after a notification letter.
Trophies remain the property of Field and Stream Taxidermy until all payments are received in full. We do not offer refunds or exchanges.
